Painters in Angles sur l'Anglin have a choice of where to stay.  The walk between the two locations is about seven minutes - uphill in one direction.
 
Saintecroix House, with its garden and swimming pool, is where all meals are taken.   The house is situated in Ville Basse near the river Anglin. 
 
L'Ancienne Charcuterie is in Ville Haute, not far from the village square with its cafes, shops, Tourist Office etc.  The Painting Studio is situated in L'Ancienne Charcuterie.

'Sainte Croix'

A beautiful 15th Century stone residence of style and character, with swimming pool, situated near the river. 

Ground floor:

Large entrance hall with painted beams and leaded windows.

Large living/dining room with impressive chimney many beams, old leaded windows and much exposed stonework. 

Inner hall with stone spiral stairs in a tower leading to:

1st floor:

'La Chapelle' A Beamed Library bedroom with double bed.  Views to front with river and 12th Century Abbey Chapel of Sainte Croix.  En-suite shower room with WC and views to garden and swimming pool.

2nd floor:

Separate door from spiral stone staircase to beamed hallway leading to:-

Bedroom 3 'Les Poutres'  with double bed and extra single bed.  Many beams and view to side of house.  En-suite shower room with WC and views to front of the house, the river and 12th Century Abbey Chapel of Sainte Croix.

Bedroom 4 'La Voliere'  with double bed and en-suite shower room with WC.  Many beams and view to river, Ville Haute and Medieval Chateau.

Outside:

Courtyard with canopied dining area.  Private swimming pool with large patio area, sun loungers, etc.  Garden with  lawn and trees, giving both shaded and sunny areas and with views to chateau and woods.  Pretty Garden room.

L'Ancienne Charcuterie'

A spacious village centre house near the Market Square.  Sleeps 8/9.

Ground floor:

Entrance hall leading to, comfortable sitting room  

Painting Studio with its own access to Rue d'Enfer and rear patio. 

Separate Dining room with French doors to patio with garden furniture.

Kitchen with sink, fridge/freezer, gas oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. 

Separate WC. 

Stairs to 1st Floor

1st floor:

Beamed Master bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower/WC.

Hallway to a separate two bedroom suite comprising bedroom No 2 with  double bed and French doors to balcony overlooking patio and garden,  bedroom No 3 with twin beds and French doors to balcony overlooking patio and garden. 

Large family bathroom with bath, shower and bidet shared between bedrooms 2 and 3.  

Separate WC with washbasin.
