For the 2008 season of Painting Holidays we are very pleased to welcome again our regulars, David Howell, Liz Butler, Stephen Martyn and the enthusiastic duo of Brian and Maggie Robinson.

For B & B guests, we are open all year, when the houses are not in use for painting holidays.

In 2008, we offer two painting holidays on Ile de Re in addition to six weeks in Angles sur l'Anglin.

At last, the Prehistoric Cave Sculptures  project is now very much happening, with completion of the very impressive new site in time for Easter 2008.  The project will, we believe, have a high international profile and be seen on TV and press internationally.  It has already been featured on TF1 and other French TV stations.

We have something new to offer this year.  Buy a 'Booklet of Mysteries' from us and follow a journey through the history of Angles.  It is a pleasant walk - and fun.  It can be done in either English or French.

New to the village is a Book shop and bookbinding business, situated on the village square.

A new tourist office is been built on the village square this year with a special section for the world renowned 'Jour d'Angles'. We also expect a special room for displays by visiting artists.

The annual fireworks continue to be a big attraction in the region, attracting over 5000 people in 2007.  The fireworks are held on the first Sunday in August.

The village is also getting national renown for its annual 'Book Fayre' which takes place each year in mid August.  In 2007, an estimated 20000 visitors came over the five days, enjoying the 100+stalls, street entertainment and evening lectures.  The chateau is a wonderful setting for the traditional 'story tellers' who come from all over France to 'tell a tale'.

Bookings for 2008 are coming in at a fast pace - seriously, if you are interested in joining us you are advised to book early.
