Angles sur l'Anglin, a beautiful medieval French village situated in Poitou-Charentes, is officially designated as "One of the Most Beautiful Villages of France".  The village is a delightful place to paint with numerous and varied locations right on your doorstep.  There is no need to waste your precious time been ferried from place to place.

Guests have a choice of accommodation, Sainte Croix house in the 'ville basse' near the river and L'Ancienne Charcuterie in the 'ville haute' which also houses the painting studio.  All meals are taken at Sainte Croix.   The walk from L'Ancienne Charcuterie takes about 6/7 minutes. In Angles, we provide Full board accommodation with Breakfast, Lunch, afternoon tea and a four-course Dinner with wine.

We have built a reputation for both the quality of tuition and Nicole's cooking which gives you that special French flavour. This will be the tenth year we have offered painting holidays in Angles sur l'Anglin with many guests returning year after year.

Our other location is based on the prestigious ILE DE RE off the west coast of France near La Rochelle and is a painters delight with its beautiful harbours, quiet beaches and many interesting inland locations with old windmills, vineyards and delightful streets in the quaint villages. On the Ile de Re we are based in the capital Saint Martin de Re and use the quayside Hotel les Colonnes where we offer half board accommodation with most of the bedrooms overlooking the harbour. The wide choice of menus, quality facilities and friendly atmosphere in the family run hotel is very popular with our guests.

In both locations, we aim for 10 guests with usually a maximum of eight painters unless the tutor agrees to take more.

Non painting partners are welcome both in Angles and Ile de Re.

All tuition is in English. 

We use well known, experienced tutors with the main media of watercolour.  However, other media are also catered for.
